OTTAWA, May 11th, 2017 – Stephen Fuhr, Member of Parliament for Kelowna- Lake Country would like to assure constituents affected by local flooding that the federal government stands ready to provide support and resources and will continue to liaise with authorities in British Columbia in the event that a federal response is requested by the province.
Mr. Fuhr has spoken with Mayor Colin Basran and Mayor James Baker and will be returning to the riding to assist Kelowna-Lake Country residents in any way he can.
Mr. Fuhr will also rise in the House of Commons today to make a statement about the current situation facing the Okanagan and to acknowledge those who are offering assistance.
